Registry
I have
been lucky enough to acquire a second KW-1. It's serial #34 and it is quite
good condition but I have decided to disassemble and restore to make it as
perfect as possible. The lessons learned in the restoration of serial #105
will make the job
much easier. I need to thank my good friend Howard Mills, W3HM, who assisted
me in
picking up the KW-1 at WB8MLA's QTH in Ohio, a 720 mile trip which we did
in one day!

Howard,
put down the hacksaw, I'll drive home and find the key! Howard, W3HM, and
I
were diassembling the KW-1 at his QTH so that he could have the cabinet repaired
and
painted (see the big crease in the side of the cabinet?) and I forgot to bring
the key!
