Business Information Centers, (BIC's), are joint ventures between the U.S. Small Business Administration and private partners. They provide the latest in high-tech hardware, software and telecommunications to help start-up and expanding businesses. They also offer a wide array of counseling services.

Whether you are considering starting a new business or need assistance in expanding or improving an existing business, BIC's can help. BIC's provide the tools and advice necessary to evaluate and improve your marketing and sales techniques, price your products or investigate the possibilities of exporting. The research tools and invaluable advice can help your new business get off the ground or help your existing business grow.

BICs combine the latest in state-of-the-art personal computers, graphic work stations, CD-ROM technology and interactive videos with on-site counseling and helpful training courses.

Counselors from the Service Corps of Retired Executives, SCORE, are available for on-site assistance and counseling on a broad variety of business issues. Many BIC's also offer an assortment of other counseling resources and an array of useful training seminars.

In addition to free on-site counseling and access to the SBA's electronic bulletin board, SBA OnLine, every BIC offers you a number of other resources including software and reference materials.
